Two Brothers: One North, One South
After three years of research and three years of writing, my historical fiction is complete and the first copies are “hot off the press.” The new web site, formerly the David H. Jones genealogical web site, has been converted to an author’s web site and this blog is an offshoot of the new web site.
Through these means, I look forward to hearing from people who might have an interest in the book . . . or have read the book and would like to make a comment or ask a question. Two Brothers: One North, One South is published by Staghorn Press and will be officially released on February 1, 2008. However, it is presently available on my web site at www.davidhjones.net
I also welcome discussion on the 6th Maryland Infantry and the Breakthrough Battle at Petersburg on April 2, 1865 (the final battle of the Petersburg Campaign). In my opinion, the significance of this battle is greatly under appreciated. As I am the owner of the PetersburgBreakthrough.Org website, I would like to hear from descendants of soldiers who served (at any time during the war) in any regiment (from either side) that was present that fateful morning.
